The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Cairo Osama bin Ahmed Nugali on Wednesday inaugurated the headquarters of the “Tasheer” service center belonging to the Saudi Company for Visa and Travel Solutions, owned by the Public Investment Fund.
Nugali explained that the center’s inauguration coincides with the kingdom’s implementation of the electronic visa service in Egypt, announced last May, which aims to automate and raise the quality of consular services provided by the Foreign Ministry.
This reflects the development witnessed by the Saudi Arabia in providing government services, he said, according to the programs and objectives of the kingdom’s Vision 2030, which enjoys the support and care of its leadership.
The headquarters of the Visa Service Center are located in Kattameya on the Ring Road, placed to ensure easy access to it.
It is the largest center in the Middle East, with 11 branches covering Greater Cairo, Alexandria and Suez and the capacity to receive 2,400 passports per day.
Nugali toured the center, and was briefed on the workflow before listening to a detailed explanation of all the services provided by the center to applicants for entry visas to the kingdom – starting with receiving the passport, through processing the application, taking vital characteristics, and ending with the issuance of the visa.
In a statement after the tour, the ambassador said he was satisfied with the advanced level of providing services there, done with the latest methods.
