The President of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA), Gamal Allam, announced that Egyptian international and Liverpool FC star Mohamed Salah will lead Egypt’s Olympic team in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Allam stated during the cultural symposium organized by EFA on Friday that Salah wants to play with the Olympic team in the Paris Olympics and will be present.
Each team has the right to field three players over the age of 23 in the men’s football competition scheduled between July 24 and August 9.
Salah had previously participated in the Olympics in London 2012, and at that time he was a member of the Olympic team and not an overage player.
The draw has placed the Egyptian Olympic team in the third group alongside Spain, the Dominican Republic and a team qualifying from the Asian continent.
