Sharm el-Sheikh topped the list of favored tourist destinations for Russians, followed by English and Italian tourists in the winter owing to its mild climate, charming natural landscapes and high level of hospitality and luxury, especially in modern hotels and resorts in the Nabq and Montazah areas.
An Egyptian-Italian tourism expert, Ahmed Badawy, praised the development witnessed by Sharm el-Sheikh regarding hospitality, food and beverages, adding that it now competes with Europe in this field.
Badawy noted how Sharm el-Sheikh enjoys the love and admiration of European tourists, who cannot find an alternative to it, thanks to the improvement in the level of service and the training of workers.
The director of a major resort in Sharm el-Sheikh, Hani al-Zayat said that Sharm el-Sheikh offers everything tourists could ask for regarding warmth, comfort, and a distinguished service comparable to the best international resorts.
The assistant manager of a tourist resort Osama Ibrahim, added that Sharm el-Sheikh provides around-the-clock service in all departments, from rooms, reception, food and beverages, and internal supervision.
He assured that tourists leave Sharm el-Sheikh satisfied with the level of service provided, which has contributed to the restoration of European markets there.
A group of hotels and tourist resorts in Sharm el-Sheikh and Marsa Alam won the international “HolidayCheck” Awards for the year 2024.
Sharm el-Sheikh sees increased tourist demand during the winter season, with the tourist occupancy rate reaching about 60 percent.
It will also increase with the advent of the mid-year school holiday and the start of domestic tourism.
