Russian Minister of Industry Denis Manturov said Moscow plans to sign an agreement with Egypt to establish a free trade zone.
“Economic cooperation with Egypt will provide Russian companies with excellent possibilities to market their products,” he said.
He told Russia Today that Russia will do all it can to take advantage of all possibilities for the development of Russian industry in Egypt, given Egypt’s strategic location.
He also said that he discussed the matter with Trade and Industry Minister Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour during the Petersburg International Economic Forum.
“We will sign a free trade zone agreement with Egypt similar to our agreement with Vietnam,” he added.
