Russia hosts ‘Treasures from Tutankhamun’s Tomb’ exhibition

The Russian Embassy in Egypt announced on Saturday organizing the “Treasures from Tutankhamun’s Tomb” exhibition in Moscow, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The embassy said in a statement that, “The exhibition will be organized until August 24, and this event represents a unique educational project for those wishing to learn about the Pharaonic civilization.”

Tutankhamun, whose tomb was discovered in perfect condition a century ago, became a symbol of ancient Egypt as the treasures found in his tomb gave scholars a huge amount of information and materials to study ancient Egypt.

The exhibition presents more than a hundred artifacts, including replicas of items found in the tomb.

A team of artists, museum restorers and Egyptologists has worked for years to rehabilitate these unique treasures.
