Robert Pattinson steps back into the spotlight for Dior

Robert Pattinson has teamed up with fashion giant Karl Lagerfeld on a brand new campaign for Dior Homme.

The Twilight star was photographed on the streets of Paris by the famous creative sporting eveningwear from the French fashion house’s Fall 2017 Black Carpet collection. Designed by Kris Van Assche, the collection strikes a tone between formal menswear and streetwear, blending relaxed pieces with Dior’s signature sharp tailoring.

“Paris by night” seems to be the general theme for the campaign, which is Pattinson’s third for Dior Homme. Lagerfeld’s black-and-white images show the actor brooding darkly at the camera in a two-piece suit and a bomber jacket, juxtaposed with a shot of the city under the moonlight.

The campaign follows on from the brand’s Spring 2017 ads, which also saw Pattinson and Lagerfeld take to the streets of the City of Light under the cover of darkness — although the star was much more casually dressed for that occasion.

“I’m always floored at the undeniable beauty of Paris,” said the actor in a statement at the time. “Contrasting shadows make everywhere you look seem like a frame from a movie.”

Pattinson was first unveiled as the face of Dior Homme back in February of last year, when he modelled the label’s Autumn/Winter 2016 collection. However, he could be set to spread his fashion wings in the future — last March, he hinted during an interview with Numero magazine that a fashion line of his own could be in the pipeline, saying he had started to make clothes and visit craftsmen.
