Residents surround the office of Belqas mayor to protest against water shortage

Residents of the city of Belqas in Daqahliya surrounded the office of the mayor and the water company on Tuesday, to protest against the three-day shortage of drinking water.

The residents said that they had been drinking mineral water provided by the company, after the supply of tap water was cut during the renovation of the pipeline.

The pipeline began to leak to days after the repair works, and a company official promised to fix the damage as soon as possible.
