Sources at Cairo International Airport said Friday that a reported bomb on a Turkish plane coming from Istanbul to Cairo caused the delay of the plane's arrival for three hours.
The plane was swapped for another and all passengers and luggage were inspected before the plane took off.
"We received a signal from the Turkish Airlines office in Cairo attributing the delay of the arrival of their flight number 693 for three hours coming from Istanbul to Cairo Airport because of a reported bomb on board the plane," said the sources.
The plane was inspected and changed and no bomb was found, the sources added.
