A Companies & Markets' report says in 2030, the population of Egypt will reach 116 million, an increase of 42 percent from 2012.
The report :"Egypt in 2030: The Future Demographic" added that the population in Egypt will experience growth in all age groups in 2012-2030, with particularly fast growth in the 60 and over age groups.
Egypt's urban population will grow over twice as fast as the rural population in 2012-2030, but it will still only account for 49.7 percent of the total population in 2030, the report showed.
The increase in population will put further pressure on Egypt's infrastructure and resources, which still has yet to address the current overpopulation issues.
