Jordanian Investment Minister Kholoud Al Saqqaf said on Sunday relations between Egypt and Jordan are distinguished in all domains, including the investment field, stressing that both countries have an investment-magnet environment.
Speaking to MENA on the sidelines of the eighth conference of Jordanian businessmen and investors, the minister said Cairo and Amman are cooperating in the investment domain through agreed-upon mechanisms and upon directives of the two countries’ political leaderships.
She noted that there is an Egyptian-Jordanian-UAE cooperation in the investment domain. Egypt, Jordan and the UAE have big potentials in the investment domain, she said, making them a model to be followed by other Arab countries.
She said the Jordanian Investment Ministry has a clear-cut strategy to place the kingdom on the global investment map, adding that many legislative amendments were introduced to lure investors either local or foreign ones.
Also, the kingdom has undertaken economic reforms to provide an appropriate atmosphere for investors, she added.
The conference, organized by the Jordanian Businessmen Association, kicked off on Saturday and runs for two days.
