The Egyptian channels have released a guide for the upcoming Ramadan 2021 series. So far, there are more than ten series set to air during the holy month.
The current year will see an abundance of Egyptian stars on the screen, including Youssra, Ahmed al-Sakka, Amir Karara, Mohamed Ramadan, Amr Saad, Mostafa Shaaban, Karim Abdel Aziz, Ahmed Mekky, Donia Samir Ghanem and Yasmine Abdel Aziz.
This year will also witness a number of postponed works from the last Ramadan, the most prominent of which are “Hagma Mortadda” (Counterattack) and “Cairo Kabul”.
Here the most sought-after series that will be presented on Egyptian channels during Ramadan:
1-“Al-Ikhtiyar” (The Choice) on ON channel, starring Karim Abdel Aziz and Ahmed Mekky, written by Hani Sarhan, produced by Synergy, and directed by Peter Mimi.
2-“Nasl Al-Aghrab” on ON channel, starring Ahmed al-Sakka and Amir Karara. It is written and directed by Mohamed Samy, and produced by Synergy.
3-“Bain Al-Sama wel Ard” (Between the Sky and the Ground) on ON channel, starring Hani Salama, and co-starring Dora. Originally written by Naguib Mahfouz, the 15-episode series follows a group of people crammed together in an elevator. The screenplay is written by Islam Hafez and produced by Synergy. Directed by Mohamed al-Adl.
4-“Hagma Mortada” will be aired on DMC channels, starring Ahmed Ezz and Hend Sabry, written by Baher Dewidar and directed by Ahmed Alaa.
5- “Moussa” will be presented on DMC channels, starring Mohamed Ramadan, Somayya al-Khashab, Riyad al-Khouly, Sayed Ragab, Monzir Rayahna, and Sabry Fawaz. It is written by Nasser Abdulrahman, produced by Synergy, and directed by Mohamed Salama.
6-“EI Maloush Kebir” will be aired on CBC channels, starring Ahmed al-Awady and Yasmine Abdel Aziz, and is considered the second work for the couple together. It is written by Amr Mahmoud Yassin, produced by Synergy, and directed by Mostafa Fikry.
7-“Harb Ahleya” (Civil War) is starring Yousra Basil Khayyat, Gamila Awad, and Cynthia Khalifa and is scheduled to be presented on CBC channels. It is produced by Gamal al-Adl, written by Ahmed Adel and directed by Sameh Abdel Aziz.
8-“Al-Nemr” (The Tiger) series will be shown on Al-Hayat channel, starring Mohamed Adel Imam and Hana Zahid, written by Mohamed Salah al-Azab, produced by Synergy, and directed by Sherine Adel.
9-“Cairo Kabul” will be presented on “Al-Hayat” channel. This series was postponed last Ramadan due to the coronavirus pandemic and the travel ban outside of Egypt. It is starring Khaled al-Sawy, Fathy Abdel Wahab and Tarek Lotfy. It is written by Abdul Rahim Kamal, produced by Synergy, and directed by Hossam Ali.
10-“Alam Mowazy” (A Parallel World) will be shown on the “Al-Hayat” channel, starring Donia Samir Ghanem, and her mother Dalal Abdelaziz. It is produced by Roznama Hisham Gamal and Synergy, written by Hisham Gamal and Amr Wahba, and directed by Hisham Gamal.
