Light rains poured on Alexandria and sporadic areas of the northwestern coast on Thursday, without affecting traffic or passers by.
Navigation at Alexandria and Daqahlia seaports resumed regularly.
Major General Abdel Qader Darwish, head of Alexandria Port Authority, said arrival and departure of ships as well as loading and discharging of merchandise went regularly.
Alexandria security department enhanced services to facilitate movement of passers by as well as traffic.
Meanwhile, Waheed Saudi, spokesperson of the Meteorological Authority, said the heat wave that hit the country over the past two days will end on Thursday, adding that temperature will decrease by 15-17 degrees Celsius.
In a phone call with the privately-owned CBC Extra TV channel on Wednesday, Saudi called on citizens not to wear light clothes, as temperature will go down on Friday and Saturday.
