Egyptian Metrological Authority (EMA) expects moderate weather to prevail across the country during daylight hours with very cold temperatures in all regions during the evening. Frost cover is expected on plantations in central Sinai.
Southwesterly winds are anticipated on Thursday, carrying sand and dust in most parts of the country.
Winds will be active on the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea, disturbing navigation in both seas.
Low and medium level cloud cover is predicted in the north, accompanied by rainfall along the north coast, and in parts of Lower Egypt and Cairo.
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea are predicted to be very rough and range between 4 to 5 meters, moderate in the Red Sea and range between 1.5 to 2 meters in the Red Sea. Surface winds will be northwesterly on both.
Maximum temperatures predicted for the following cities are as follows: 18C in Cairo, 18C in Alexandria, 19C in Qena, 20C in Aswan and 20C in Luxor.
