Damietta was inundated with rain on Sunday, crippling traffic and commercial activities in most parts of the city. Additionally, fishermen refrained from going out to sea due to the bad weather.
Governor Ismail Abdel Hamid Taha ordered the local authorities to remove the water from the streets as soon as possible.
