Heavy rain fell on Cairo early Tuesday morning, resulting in many flooded streets and reduced visibility in many parts of the capital.
Meteorologists had predicted severe rainfall in several regions of the country, but said it would be less intense in Cairo. Temperatures have remained low throughout the country, with the capital at 8C.
