Egyptian authorities opened on Tuesday the Rafah border crossing between Egypt and the Gaza Strip after a six-day closure for maintenance, a security source said.
The source added that hundreds of Palestinians crossed through it to go into Egypt or to return to Gaza. Crowds of people were waiting at the crossing for passage.
