Egyptian authorities have kept the Rafah border crossing in North Sinai open for the 19th consecutive day, under to the directive of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, an official source said.
The crossing is staying open so that Egypt can receive wounded Palestinians for treatment and send air into the Gaza Strip.
The source added that all administrative and medical staff are present to facilitate entry for injured Palestinians and their companies.
Additionally, ambulances are stationed at the crossing to transport the wounded to Egyptian hospitals, after they undergo a preliminary check-up.
The source noted that 29 injured and wounded Palestinians have been transferred to Egyptian hospitals for treatment, and about 1,100 trucks carrying aid from Egypt and other countries have crossed the border to Gaza.
