Egyptian authorities will open Rafah border crossing exceptionally on Sunday to allow access to pilgrims, security source said on Saturday.
An informed source at the crossing said it will be opened exceptionally for two consecutive days to allow travel of around 800 pilgrims returning back to Egypt.
The crossing represents the only exit for Palestinians, whose population is estimated to be 1.7 million, and it is operated by Hamas, which authorities claim has strong ties to Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood and deposed President Mohamed Morsy.
