On Monday, Cairo Criminal Court postponed the trial of 35 suspects who are accused of killing 25 Central Security recruits on the Arish-Rafah highway last August, attempted murder of recruits in Belbeis and spying for Iraq.
The alleged crimes took place between 2011 and 2013.
The judge postponed the trial until 12 June to hear further witness testimony.
Prosecutors are also accusing the defendants of terrorism, espionage, forming an illegal group, premeditated murder, damaging public property, resisting authorities and possessing explosives.
Elements from the same group also allegedly fired shots on central security officers on Abu Kebeer-Zagazig road, leaving 18 personnel injured.
