A high-level Egyptian source reported that a quadrilateral meeting will be held in Qatar’s capital Doha on Wednesday, with delegations from Egypt, the US, Qatar, and Israel.
In exclusive statements to the AlQahera News channel on Tuesday, the source explained that the head of Egyptian intelligence and his US counterpart are leading the delegations of Egypt and the US in the meeting scheduled for Wednesday in Doha, after a round of intensive discussions in Cairo.
An Egyptian security delegation reportedly headed to Doha, on Wednesday, to push for a truce in the Gaza Strip as soon as possible, the source said, adding that the delegation aims to bridge the gap in viewpoints between Hamas and Israel.
The source confirmed earlier on Tuesday that the Cairo negotiations continued amid intense activity by the Egyptian security delegation to bring the views of all parties closer together.
