The al-Qassam Brigades, the military arm of the Hamas movement, announced on Friday that multiple Israeli soldiers were killed and wounded after detonating a minefield north of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza Strip.
It also announced that a special force holed up in a building north of the camp was targeted with anti-fortified shells, successfully engaging them at “zero distance” and leaving its several of its members dead and wounded.
Qassam also confirmed the successful bombing of a occupation D9 bulldozer, in addition to shooting down a “Skylark-2” reconnaissance plane, which was on an occupation intelligence mission in Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip.
The Israeli army acknowledged the killing of reserve captain Harel Sharbit, and the serious wounding of an officer and a soldier from the College of Military Engineering, following the firing of an anti-tank missile.
Protests continue
In Jerusalem, 12,000 citizens performed Friday prayers in al-Aqsa Mosque, despite occupation forces tightening their noose around it. Dozens of worshipers suffered from suffocation after Israeli forces attacked them with tear gas.
Demonstrations took place in many capitals of the world denouncing the ongoing war on Gaza, demanding a ceasefire.
Thousands of activists in the US also signed an electronic petition sent directly to the White House, calling on the US President Joe Biden, to intervene immediately to stop the war on Gaza Strip and impose a ban on weapons provided to Israel.
The gruesome toll of war
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip led to the death of 187 Palestinians and the injury of 312 others during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of dead to 21,507, in addition to 55,915 injured since October 7.
Hundreds of demonstrators, dressed in black and carrying dolls representing dead children, participated in a symbolic funeral procession in New York City.
The United Nations Rapporteur for Human Rights in the Palestinian Territories, Francesca Albanese, slammed Israel’s assault on Gaza as the utmost “barbarity of the century,” noting that 1,000 children had their limbs amputated – without anesthesia.
The United Nations Humanitarian Aid Coordinator, Martin Griffiths, confirmed that delivering aid to Gaza has become impossible.
The number of dead in the Israeli army since the ground war rose to 174 soldiers and officers, while its total number of dead since October 7 rose to 502 dead.
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Observatory revealed that occupation soldiers have stolen Palestinian money and belongings on a large scale, amounting to tens of millions of dollars, from the Gaza Strip.
