Palestinian media reported that Qassam Brigades leader Ahmed Walid Abu-Ara was killed in an Israeli drone strike on his car in Jenin, West Bank, on Saturday.
The Israeli army earlier acknowledged in a statement the killing of an Israeli officer in the central Gaza Strip who was the commander of a company in the logistics support battalion.
“An Israeli army logistical force entered the outskirts of the Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza Strip, where it was on its way to deliver resources to the Israeli forces, when an explosive device was detonated, killing the officer and causing injuries. Then a number of gunmen came out and opened fire on the forces and withdrew from the place,” Israeli media reported.
