Prime Minister Hesham Qandil visited police officers in Galaa Square in Dokki in the early hours of Monday to express solidarity with the force.
The prime minister published photos of his visit to Galaa on Monday dawn to his official Facebook page.
The visit aimed to support the role of the police, according to Qandil, because they “need support after the successive attacks they have suffered since the revolution.”
His appearance in casual clothes was rare, and he shook hands with people passing by a police checkpoint.
