Public business sector minister reviews implementation of national project to develop spinning, weaving industry

Minister of Public Business Sector Mohamed Shemi reviewed the latest developments on implementing a national project to develop the industry of spinning and weaving in the affiliating companies.

This came in Shemi’s meeting on Friday 18/10/2024 with the executive presidents of the companies affiliating to the Holding Company for Cotton, Spinning, Weaving, and Clothes within the framework of periodic meetings to follow up the implementation of projects and work plans in the different sectors affiliating to the Ministry of Public Business Sector, especially the national project for developing spinning and weaving industry.

The meeting reviewed the rates of implementation of ongoing works in the development project which includes 65 places in Egypt including factories, infrastructure networks, service buildings and electricity stations.

Shemi discussed the implementation of a plan to train human cadres, asserting the necessity to improve the work environment and develop the skills of the workers.

The 8-hour meeting followed up final works in “spinning factory 1” of Misr Spinning and Weaving Company in el Mahala el Kobra which is the biggest spinning factory around the world.

He pointed out to the importance of paying attention to the marketing element according to a plan set locally and externally to contain the production capacity of the new factories and achieve selling goals.
