Dozens protested Sunday before the Egyptian embassy in London to call for the prosecution of those who burn churches in Egypt.
Protesters raised banners reading “Egypt for all Egyptians,” “Justice for everyone” and “Freedom of worship for everyone."
“We – Muslims and Copts – are protesting peacefully before the Egyptian embassy to express our opinion of what happens in Egypt,” said Shenouda Shalaby, a protester.
He criticized attacks against churches, saying he had hoped these crimes would not occur after the 25 January revolution.
Shalaby added that he has a lot of Muslim friends and knows Islamic teachings imply tolerance and justice.
He also said that several Muslims took part in the protest, including Mostafa Ragab, head of the Egyptians in England association, to express Egyptians' unity and concern about the future.
