Prosecutor General Hisham Barakat has ordered an appeal before the Court of Cassation for the Minya Criminal Court sentences in the violence and terrorism acts that took place in Matai, Minya.
The appeal includes both the death and acquittance sentences in order to ensure proper administration of justice.
The mass death sentence for Muslim Brotherhood members sparked severe criticism both locally and internationally.
