Hundreds of supporters of ousted President Mohamed Morsy set off on a march from Rayyan Mosque in Maadi on Sunday on their way to Tahrir.
The protesters chanted, "Today, in the afternoon, the revolution will rule!" and raised the Rabaa al-Adaweya slogan.
The National Alliance to Support Legitimacy had called on its supporters to protest on Sunday against the "military coup" in concomitance with the 6th of October War victory celebrations.
Meanwhile, Tamarod and other political powers called on Egyptians to rally in Tahrir and other squares to celebrate the war anniversary.
