Judicial sources at the High Elections Committee said the candidacies for the presidential elections will be opened on Monday for three weeks for campaigning to last for another three weeks.
They also said the committee is meeting on Saturday and Sunday to discuss certain decisions related to campaigning, supervision by local and foreign civil society organizations, and voting of Egyptians living abroad.
The elections are expected to be held anytime from 26 to 28 May, and for Egyptians abroad some time in in mid-May.
They added that candidacy challenges to the preliminary list will be opened for nine days before the release of the final list, and that candidates will have to commit to the rules of campaigning.
