President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi will head for Qatar on Sunday to attend the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup 2022, to take place later in the day, Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Radi said.
President’s Sisi’s participation in the grandiose event comes upon an invitation by Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, in light of strong brotherly ties binding Egypt and Qatar, according to the spokesman.
