President Sisi to head for Algeria to attend 31st Arab Summit

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi will head for Algeria Tuesday morning to take part in the 31st Arab Summit, which will run for two days.

President Sisi’s participation in the Arab summit comes as part of Egypt’s keenness on boosting fraternal and cooperation ties with all Arab countries, said Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

The president’s participation in the summit also comes within the framework of Egypt’s pivotal role in promoting mechanisms of joint Arab action to serve interests of all Arab nations, added the spokesman.

The Arab Summit is a chance for coordination and consultation among the Arab countries, especially regarding endeavors to preserve the region’s stability and security, and promote Arab interests, the spokesman said, noting that it is held in light of ongoing challenges at the regional and international levels.

During his visit, President Sisi is scheduled to hold several bilateral meetings with a host of Arab leaders in order to probe ways of boosting bilateral ties and exchange viewpoints on the latest regional and international developments, said the spokesman.
