President Sisi receives message from Equatorial Guinean president

President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi received a message Thursday from President of Equatorial Guinea Teodoro Obiang lauding distinguished ties binding Egypt and Equatorial Guinea.
During a meeting with Senate Speaker of Equatorial Guinea Teresa Efua Asangono, President Sisi asserted keenness on boosting cooperation with Equatorial Guinea on the African and bilateral levels, especially regarding promoting trade ties, pan-African trade, as well as preserving African peace and security, according to presidential spokesman Ahmed Fahmy said.
President Sisi entrusted the Equatorial Guinean Senate speaker with conveying his best regards to Obiang, hailing bilateral ties binding the two countries, the spokesman said.
In the message, Obiang voiced his deep appreciation for Egypt and the Egyptian people and praised growing bilateral ties, saying he is looking forward to further promoting Egyptian-Equatorial Guinean relations on the various levels, especially in light of Egypt’s role in support of African countries’ efforts towards realizing stability, development and prosperity, besides propelling joint African action.
The two sides also discussed further enhancing ties in the parliamentary domain, increasing Egyptian investments in Equatorial Guinea and upping the volume of bilateral trade exchange, according to the spokesman.
Also means of building and upgrading abilities of Equatorial Guinean brethren in the various sectors figured high during the talks, he said.
Senate Speaker Abdel Wahab Abdel Razeq and Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry took part in the meeting.
