President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi placed the final piece bearing the name of Egypt into the miniature model of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), where each piece carried the name of a participating country in the opening, thereby announcing the official opening of the museum.
The kings, presidents, and princes of the brotherly and friendly nations had earlier received a miniature model of the GEM, with each piece bearing the name of their respective country. Their leaders then placed these pieces with their own hands, symbolizing the participation of their peoples in this humanitarian edifice.
