
BRUSSELS, Oct 21 (MENA) – President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi congratulated Sanae Takaichi on her election as Prime Minister of Japan, becoming the first woman to hold this office in Japan.
“I extend my sincere congratulations to Ms. Sanae Takaichi on her election as Prime Minister of Japan, becoming the first woman to hold this esteemed office in the country’s history.” Sisi posted on his social media account on Tuesday.
Sisi reaffirmed his keenness to work closely with the newly elected premier to “invigorate and further develop the strategic partnership between Egypt and Japan, enhance areas of cooperation across various fields.”
The President also stressed the importance of maintaining “constructive coordination on regional and international issues, in such a manner that contributes to achieving peace, stability, and prosperity for our two friendly peoples and for the international community at large.”
