Egyptian Coptic leader Pope Shenouda III set off for New York on Sunday for medical treatment.
Shenouda entered Salam hospital in Mohandessin following a minor illness on Thursday, but was discharged the same day.
His health was declared stable after treatment in the US in February.
Shenouda undergoes periodical examinations every three months in a clinic located in Cleveland, an American city . He suffers from kidney and back problems.
