A recent poll conducted by the Information and Decision Support Center of the Council of Ministers showed that roughly 78.3 percent of the citizens who intend to participate in the constitution referendum on the constitution, or who have not yet decided, would vote ‘yes.’
Sherif Badr, the head of the center, told state-run news agency MENA that the poll conducted in the from 21 to 23 December showed an increase in the percentage of citizens intending to participate in the referendum to 68 percent.
He explained that the center conducted a survey of 1,316 citizens 18 years of age and older.
The percentage of citizens who intend to vote ‘yes’ goes up as the date of the referendum approaches, according to Badr.
He explained that the center has been conducting weekly polls on the subject since 28 November.
