A policeman was shot in the jaw on Monday by unidentified gunmen on a motorbike while he was driving home in a village in Al-Saf, Fayoum.
Security services held several checkpoints in Giza to crack down on the gunmen and took the testimonies of eyewitnesses.
The secretary of the injured policeman said on Monday that he was fired upon from unknown assailants riding a motorcycle without license plates on Suez Canal Street in Mansoura.
Another policemen was also injured in the head and the chest in Mansoura by gunmen driving a motorcycle without license plates. He was taken to hospital and in serious condition.
