Policeman was shot and killed in Ismailia on Tuesday by unidentified gunmen on a motorbike.
Officer Mostafa Sadeq Amin, 39, was shot in the head while in duty organizing traffic at Ibrahim Salama Square. He passed away before reaching the hospital.
Security began a search for the assailants throughout the city, combing all streets leading to the scene of the crime, to arrest the criminals.
Forensic medicine doctors were summoned for an autopsy on the body, which was transferred to morgue of the public hospital.
