A Major appeared on Faisal Street on Friday wearing a skull mask during the 28 November demonstrations, for which the Salafi Front had called.
Al-Masry Al-Youm spoke with the officer while stationed on Faisal Street next to his troops and asked him why he put on the skull mask. The officer replied curtly: "I bought the mask from abroad for US$150 to protect myself from bird shot."
The photos of the officer went viral on social networking websites.
