A police officer affiliated with Minya Security Directorate fatally shot a man in Beheira following a personal dispute in Damanhour.
Head of Behaira Security Directorate Mohamed Ismail was notified of the incident when he received a tip from Kafr al-Dawar Police Station of the incident.
According to investigations, Lieutenant Mohamed R. asked a family for their daughter's hand in marriage but was rejected. He then headed to the woman's workplace in Damanhour where he met her uncle by coincidence. An altercation occurred between the officer and the woman's uncle during which the officer shot him dead. The officer was arrested.
