On Wednesday, police fired tear gas canisters to disperse hundreds of Muslim Brotherhood students at Cairo University.
The students were demonstrating against presidential candidate Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and chanted slogans against the police and the army.
They smashed the main gate locks to go out of campus and demonstrate in al-Nahda Square.
Police arrested some of them and injured four others.
