Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly witnessed activities of session entitled “Investment in Industry.. Opportunities for Integration and Growth” as part of activities of the the International Manufacturing Convention and Exhibition (IMCE) that opened Monday at the Al-Manara International Conference and Exhibition Center.
Earlier in the day, the prime minister inaugurated the three-day event that is being organized by the Federation of Industries.
Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel el-Wazir, Managing Director of Sky & Rollins Group Tarek Hussein, CEO of the National Initiative for the Development of Egyptian Industry “Ebdaa” Amani Eid and Chairman of the Federation of Industries Mohamed Zaki el-Sewedy are taking part in the session.
The gathering witnesses the participation of 18 industrial and production sectors, representing the backbone of the country’s economic sectors.
The exhibition aims to support international collaborative initiatives between industrial entities at the regional levels (Arab, African, Euro-Mediterranean and international) to contribute to achieving sustainable economic development.
The forum addresses challenges facing the industrial sector, along with mechanisms meant to direct efforts towards a better industrial future, in addition to enhancing investment and achieving economic development, activating partnerships and cooperation with economic and industrial entities in Arab, African and European countries.
The role of private sector’s institutions in preparing and developing qualified technical cadres for the local and international labor market, in cooperation with the relevant State bodies will also figure high on the gathering’s agenda.
