PM stresses gov’t commitment to carrying out economic reforms

CAIRO, Nov 13 (MENA) – Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly stressed the government’s commitment to implementing the economic and structural reforms adopted by the state across various sectors.

These reforms are aimed at creating a favorable environment to attract both local and foreign investments by encouraging investors to pump more investments either in new projects or in expanding and increasing investments in existing ones, he added.

Madbouly highlighted the state’s focus on supporting and enhancing the role of the private sector by increasing its participation in various developmental and economic activities.

The prime minister’s remarks came at a meeting, which was held at the government’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) Thursday via videoconference to follow up on efforts to attract more foreign investments to vital sectors.

He emphasized the importance of holding meetings with leaders and officials from friendly and sisterly countries to outline Egypt’s efforts in the investment field and steps taken to create a climate conducive to investment.

Madbouly pointed out that these meetings help present Egypt’s various capabilities, as well as promising investment opportunities in many sectors.

These include new and renewable energy, petroleum, industry, tourism, information and communication technology, and other sectors of importance to both Egypt and many local and foreign private sector firms, according to him.

Spokesperson for the Cabinet Mohamed al-Homsani said that the meeting discussed several promising investment opportunities in various domains, as well as marketing and promotional efforts to attract more local and foreign investments. (MENA)
