PM: Real estate key to economy, pushes for property exports

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said on Monday, 29 September 2025, that the real estate sector is a key driver of the national economy, linked to over 90 industries.

In a meeting with the urban development advisory committee, he emphasized the importance of government efforts to export Egyptian property and attract foreign investment.

The premier highlighted Egypt’s experienced developers and competitive real estate market, especially in coastal areas, as strong assets in bringing in hard currency.

Cabinet spokesperson Mohamed al-Homsany said the meeting reviewed a timeline for a new digital platform to facilitate property exports and foreign purchases. The platform, managed by the New Urban Communities Authority, aims to simplify buying and registration for foreign investors.

Efforts to promote Egyptian real estate abroad and allow purchases in foreign currency were also discussed, alongside progress in easing registration procedures for both local and foreign buyers.
