During his tour, Madbouly asserted keenness of the government on securing commodities in markets with sufficient amounts in order to meet needs of people.

He underscored the necessity of upholding the implementation of the initiative by ministries and bodies concerned in accordance with the government instructions.

The exhibition is co-organized by the Supply and Internal Trade Directorate in Fayoum and the Fayoum Chamber of Commerce, in line with directives of the political leadership regarding implementing the initiative of reducing prices of basic commodities nationwide, said governor Ansary said.

He added that all products of the initiative- like sugar, oil, rice, pasta, white cheese, dairy products, poultry and meat – are available at the exhibition with a discount ranging between 10 to 30 percent.

Meanwhile, Madbouly asserted the importance of regular monitoring to ensure selling the products as per the announced prices under the initiative.
