Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly led on Monday, July 24 Egypt’s delegation to the opening session of the 2023 UN Food Systems Summit in Rome.
The summit is attended by a number of heads of state and government, topped by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and United Nations Secretary General António Guterres.
Spokesman for the Cabinet Nader Saad said the second session will witness Egypt’s address about efforts exerted by the Egyptian State to promote transition in food systems.
The summit, titled “United Nations Food Systems +2 Stocktaking Moment” (UNFSS+2), is held at the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) with the theme “Sustainable Food Systems for People, Planet, and Prosperity: Diverse Pathways in a Shared Journey.”
It gathers agriculture specialists, food producers, scientists, researchers, and stakeholders from different countries.
