Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly has hailed as “deep” relations between Egypt and Azerbaijan.
Bilateral ties are based on cooperation and mutual understanding about the different international issues, Madbouli said during a meeting with speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament Sahiba Gafarova Tuesday.
Madbouli stressed the importance of cooperation between the parliaments of Egypt and Azerbaijan.
He said his government is looking forward to also enhancing the volume of trade exchange and investments between the two countries.
The premier reviewed investment opportunities at the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), especially in the field of logistics.
Cairo is also eyeing enhanced energy cooperation with Baku, especially in light of the global energy crisis, Madbouli said.
For her part, Gafarova said she is pleased with the level of cooperation between her country and Egypt.
She greatly appreciated the role played by diplomatic missions in both countries to further strengthen bilateral ties at all levels.
