Iraqi Housing Minister Mohamed al-Daragi has invited Prime Minister Kamal al-Ganzouri to visit Iraq and discuss ways of participationg in the country's development.
“We welcome Egyptian investors to help rebuild our country,” Daragi said following his recent meeting with Ganzouri in Egypt. “Our embassy has been instructed to facilitate procedures for Egyptian investors applying for visas.”
“Egyptian companies have been working to develop Iraq since the 1980s,” he said. “They are capable of carrying out big projects.”
Ganzouri also met with the housing ministers from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Yemen and Sudan to discuss cooperation in housing projects, and with the Jordanian minister of transportation, Abdallah al-Batayna, to discuss other joint projects.
“We agreed to increase trade between the two countries,” Batayna said.
