Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli visited a factory of Hengtong Optic-Electric Egypt Co. during his tour to inspect a number of projects and factories in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone).
The premier, accompanied by a number of ministers and officials concerned, kicked off his tour on Thursday 16/3/2023 and visited the factory, which is one of the China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone’s factories.
The factory aims to work in several new industries in the coming period with $5-billion investments.
The executive director of Hengtong briefed the premier on the group’s activities on manufacturing power and fiber optic cables.
The executive director added that the factory has been established over an area of 5,904 square meters with $6 million investments and would contribute to creating 100 direct job opportunities with production capacity of 2 million units.
