PM discusses revolution’s demands in unofficial meeting with activists

Activists on Twitter said they had an informal with Prime Minister Essam Sharaf at his residence on Tuesday and discussed ways to meet the revolution’s demands.

Sharaf said he had a free hand to form a new cabinet and reiterated promises he made in his last speech, according to the activists.

The activists requested Sharaf to remove the attorney general, but he explained that only the president has the right to do so.

They also asked him to refrain from trying civilians in military courts, to which he replied that the matter is in the hands of the ruling military council.

Most bloggers agreed that the meeting was important, while only a few opposed it.
