PM discusses investment, economic projects with UAE Development Office

Prime Minister Sherif Ismail met Sunday with the director of the UAE-funded Development Office in Egypt to discuss future economic projects between Egypt and the Uniter Arab Emirates.

Ambassador Hossam al-Qaweesh, official spokesperson for the Prime Minister, said in an official statement on Sunday that the meeting saw the officials discuss a number of proposed economic and investment cooperation projects to be instigated in Egypt by the two countries in various fields of development in the near future.

Qaweesh added that during the meeting, the Prime Minister underlined his appreciation for the valuable role played by the UAE Development Office, from its thorough supervision of projects and monitoring of the various stages of implementation, to its exertion of the necessary effort to ensure projects stay on schedule and meet expectations.

This, Sherif said, ensures that Egyptian citizens get the most economical and social benefit possible from such projects.

Along with UAE Development Office Director Aly Seif al-Khaja, the meeting was attended by Investment Minister Dalia Khursheed and Minister of Public Expenditure Dr Ashraf al-Sharqawy.
